AN ARTISANAL FOOD HALL

In 2015, Mount Vernon Marketplace opened, following a revitalization of CANAdev, The Time Group and WPM Real Estate Management. The former warehouse for the department store chain Hochschild Kohn (est. 1897) now houses nearly 20 eclectic vendors, most with roost win Baltimore. Located in historic Mount Vernon, the Marketplace is just a mile north of the Inner Harbor, and within blocks of Mercy Medical Center, University of Maryland Medical Center and the Walters Art Museum. The project also included the first Baltimore cafe for Annapolis-based roastery Ceremony Coffee, as well as the construction of 171 apartment. The neighborhood destination is now central to an area that previously saw very little foot traffic.
